Taranta é uma performance - exposição que surge a partir de textos que tenho vindo a escrever desde 1993 e que resgato para a criação de som e movimento.
O título remete para o ponto central deste trabalho onde exponho e represento o que escrevo enquanto manifestações de explosões internas, de momentos atrapalhados que não se chegam a resolver, relâmpagos de palavras que pedem para sair mesmo que de forma tosca, que estão sempre a surgir e sempre presentes no que faço.
Esta prática de escrita que acompanha desde sempre o meu trabalho performativo tem ocupado um lugar de complemento às minhas pesquisas. Em Taranta, desafiei-me a retirar estes textos da sombra e a usá-los como centro do trabalho, a desenvolver em continuidade ao longo do meu percurso com diferentes momentos de apresentação ao longo do seu processo, como se fossem capítulos da história de um livro. Um trabalho que não se resolve aqui, que não é para resolver, ao qual nem sequer gosto de chamar trabalho, mas de Taranta.

Taranta is a performance/exhibition that arises from texts that I have been writing along the years and which I now rescue for the creation of movement.
The title refers to the central point of this presentation where I expose and represent what I write as manifestations of internal explosions, of clumsy moments that are never resolved, lightnings of words that ask to get out even if in a bumbling way, and that are always emerging and always present in what I do.
This practice of writing that has always accompanied my performative work has been occupying a place of complement in my researches. In Taranta I challenged myself to remove these texts from the shadow and use them as the center of the work, to be develop in continuity throughout my journey with different moments of presentation throughout its process, as if they were chapters in the history of a book. A work that won’t be resolved here, that it is not to be resolve, which I do not even like to call work, but Taranta.
